Each spring, Harding University sends students to South America for an educational experience unlike any other. The program is called HULA (Harding University in Latin America) and is based in the coastal town of Viña del Mar, Chile. Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Chilean culture— ordering hand-made empanadas, studying Latin American history, grocery shopping in street markets, practicing their Spanish with locals and more. Group trips include Patagonia, Rapa Nui (Easter Island), the Atacama Desert, Machu Picchu and the Amazon. Needless to say, no one comes back the same.
HULA is just one of Harding University’s seven International Programs. Harding University is located in Searcy, Arkansas, and has been sending students to study abroad for over 30 years. Students that have acquired at least 27 hours of credit from any university are welcome to apply for a semester overseas with Harding. The staff at The Office of International Programs would be glad to help you fill your passport with the experiences of a lifetime. For more information, including an application, click here.
